Metal fabrication is the specialty of several shops in our network. In addition to plate and sheet metal, several of these shops also have rolling and bending capabilities.
Recently one shop installed a state of the art tube laser. Tube laser cutting is a precise method of laser cutting tubes, channels, or other structural shapes. This is a fabrication process where holes or other designs can also be cut into the tube. In fact, these machines are so precise that they eliminate any need for secondary operations on the product, which helps keep costs down. Tube lasers are capable of cutting materials of most shapes, sizes, and thicknesses, including aluminum stainless and other metals.
Sheet and plate rolling is done in 3 shops. This provides the capability for most curved shapes in metals and thicknesses covering most situations we’ve encountered over several years. For tanks, ASME requirements are commonly met and so long as a tank can fit on a rail car, size is not a problem.
Pressure vessels for any number of applications are available. Mixing tanks for food, chemical, and pharmaceutical businesses are common production items. In addition, one shop is expert with mixing blades and shafts and has a wide variety of capabilities for this work.
